The time has come . . .
Ok - I've said it. It's out there in writing. As of May 21, 2012, I am flimsy-paper-card-carrying-member of Weight Watchers! And you know what? So far, I LOVE IT! That may be the nerdy, techie girl in me speaking, but the electronic tracking got me. Sucked me in and is keeping me there. Is that all it took? Had I only known sooner. Will it last?
I hope so! Come with me and see!

1 p+ Devil's Food Cake Balls

Devil's Food Cake Balls
I have been wanting to use my CooksEssentials Nonstick Cake Pop, Donut Hole & Treat Maker that I've had for a while. I decided to make a variation on the Pumpkin Spice muffins I made last weekend since I had heard very positive reviews on them. Not too impressed with this flavor combo, even though it just tastes like chocolate - no pumpkin I can discern. The pumpkin-spice version was delicious but I won't make this Devil's food combo again. But looking at the positive side I LOVE this little machine! Fast and easy, great for portion control, and endless possibilities for what to make in it. But now what to do with 40+ cake balls??? Hmmmm . . . Weight Watcher's meeting in the morning . . .

Here's the recipe in case you'd like to try them. They weren't for me, but I am not really a chocolate lover. You can bake these in muffin tins - it will make regular 24 muffins for *2 p+. Or use mini muffin tins and lessen the points even more. I got about 48 so I am saying these are 1 p+. Try them an see what you think!

Devil's Food Cake Balls
  • 1 box Devil's Food Cake mix (unprepared)
  • 1 15 oz can pumpkin puree
  • 1/2 cup water
Mix everything together and fill the cavities of your cake pop maker, or pour into a muffin tin lined with paper liners. Bake at 350 degrees for about 25-30 minutes.

*Points plus info taken from this recipe on the Weight Watcher's site

~ Enjoy! ~
