Devil's Food Cake Balls |
I have been wanting to use my CooksEssentials Nonstick Cake Pop, Donut Hole & Treat Maker that I've had for a while. I decided to make a variation on the Pumpkin Spice muffins I made last weekend since I had heard very positive reviews on them. Not too impressed with this flavor combo, even though it just tastes like chocolate - no pumpkin I can discern. The pumpkin-spice version was delicious but I won't make this Devil's food combo again. But looking at the positive side I LOVE this little machine! Fast and easy, great for portion control, and endless possibilities for what to make in it. But now what to do with 40+ cake balls??? Hmmmm . . . Weight Watcher's meeting in the morning . . .
Here's the recipe in case you'd like to try them. They weren't for me, but I am not really a chocolate lover. You can bake these in muffin tins - it will make regular 24 muffins for *2 p+. Or use mini muffin tins and lessen the points even more. I got about 48 so I am saying these are 1 p+. Try them an see what you think!
Devil's Food Cake Balls
- 1 box Devil's Food Cake mix (unprepared)
- 1 15 oz can pumpkin puree
- 1/2 cup water
Mix everything together and fill the cavities of your cake pop maker, or pour into a muffin tin
lined with paper liners. Bake at 350 degrees for about 25-30 minutes.

~ Enjoy! ~
I know you said you weren't that impressed, but I thought they were pretty tasty. Thanks for bring them to the WW meeting to treat us!
